I was worried the cotton would feel stiff after washing but it's stayed soft, and my daughter naps a solid hour longer in it. The two layers breathe well enough that she isn't sweaty when I get her up.

The 2-way zipper has been a lifesaver for middle-of-the-night diaper changes — I can open just the bottom and not disturb my son at all. The cotton is soft right out of the wash and hasn't pilled after a month of nightly use.
